About the Local Health Integration Networks
Created by the Ontario government in March 2006, the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) are 14 not-for-profit organizations that plan, integrate and fund local health care services in 14 different geographic areas across the province.

Each LHIN works with local health providers and community members to determine the health service priorities in their region and to coordinate services including: 

• Hospitals
• Community Care Access Centres
• Community Support Services
• Long-term Care
• Mental Health and Addictions Services
• Community Health Centres

The 14 LHIN regions are shown on the map below:
