Welcome

Welcome to the Rainbow Health Ontario (RHO) 2012 conference!

The RHO biennial provincial conference, to be held March 20 to 23 at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel, will address issues surrounding the health and wellness of our lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities in Ontario.

Delegates from the health care, social service, public policy and other helping professions will be exposed to opportunities to learn more about LGBT health concerns, explore innovative research being done in this area, as well as be provided with several opportunities to network with other professionals from the academic, health and government sectors.

The theme of this Conference, which offers over 50 workshops, seminars and plenary sessions is “Supporting LGBT Health Through Every Stage of Life.” Among the many workshops available, there will be ten workshops dedicated exclusively to issues relating to youth, eight dedicated to seniors, and seven dedicated to parenting.

Examples of workshops and seminars at this conference include:

  • Let’s Talk About Sex: Disability, Sexuality and Resistance
  • Ruptures and Resilience: Examining Career and Workplace Dynamics for Trans Health Providers
