RHO 2022 Symposium

RHO 2022 Symposium: LGBT2SQ Health in Focus - Virtual Gathering - February 25, 2022

Call for Submissions for the RHO 2022 Symposium: LGBT2SQ Health in Focus

This online symposium, to be held on February 25 2022, is a learning and sharing forum for anyone interested in LGBT2SQ health. Unique in Canada and renowned for the diversity and scope of its programming, our events draw and connect professionals and community members from diverse perspectives, including health and social service providers, researchers, and policy makers.

We are looking for 15-minute submissions for a panel format. Panels will be 90 minutes in length, consisting of three presentations and audience questions. A moderator will facilitate the discussion.

We invite submissions in the areas of our most recent Health in Focus series:

  • Relationships with food and disrupted eating behaviours in the LGBT2SQ community
  • LGBT2SQ seniors

Some examples of topics could include food insecurity, body image, gender identity, migration, long-term care, family, housing, and other social determinants of health. Panel submissions with a focus on these topics through a lens of race and racialization will be prioritized.

We welcome proposals from health and social service professionals, organizations, community activists, policy makers and researchers. We strongly encourage submissions from racialized LGBT2SQ professionals and community members.

The deadline for submissions has been extended to September 12, 2021.

Please note: this event will be recorded for Rainbow Health Ontario’s records and will not be publicized without express permission from presenters.
