I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and a Clinical Member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists (OSP). I am a Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor (C.C.A.C.) and I hold membership in good standing with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors’ Certification Federation. Currently, I am enrolled in Level 2 Trauma Training with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute (SPI).
I have a Master of Arts degree in Community Health Sciences (Brock University) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Addicitons: Treatment & Prevention (Georgian College).
I have over 15 years of experience in both inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings working with individuals seeking recovery and wellness from issues related to stress and anxiety, trauma, substance use, sexual orientation and gender identity. My approach to psychotherapy is client-centered and from an anti-oppressive framework. Other areas of clinical interest include integrating mindfulness-based approaches, using the body in psychotherapy (sensorimotor psychotherapy) to heal attachment injuries and trauma.
