Taking an avid interest in expanding provider capacity in caring for trans and non-binary patients, Amy’s contributions include authorship of Sherbourne Health’s Guidelines for Gender-affirming Primary Care.
VAGINOPLASTY: COMMON COMPLICATIONS TO KNOW
Presenter: Emery Potter (they/them), Nurse Practitioner, Women’s College Hospital
Emery Potter is a Nurse Practitioner in the Transition Related Surgery program at Women’s College Hospital and an adjunct lecturer at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. Emery is passionate about improving health care services for trans, non-binary and gender diverse communities.
Description: This session will briefly review vaginoplasty, the expected post-operative course as well as common post-operative complications. Throughout the presentation, there will be a description of the assessment of symptoms and managing common complications.

Presenter: Dr. Jordan Goodridge (he/him), Family Physician, Sherbourne Health
Dr. Jordan Goodridge is a Family Physician at the Sherbourne Health Centre, where he has a focused practice in LGBTQ+ Health. He has a strong interest in sexual health and transgender health education, including through leading seminars in transgender health through Rainbow Health Ontario and CAMH’s ECHO program.
Description: I will briefly outline common post-operative complications in masculinizing surgeries, describe how to assess concerning symptoms, and manage common complications.
