Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting those affected by sexual violence as well as raising public awareness around the need to better address conditions, laws and attitudes that contribute to ongoing cycles of violence. Our catchment area includes the city of Peterborough, the counties of Peterborough, Northumberland, Haliburton and the City of Kawartha Lakes

Through qualified trauma specialists, men and women survivors of past and recent sexual assault receive professional, well-developed and responsive, healing support. Throughout the trauma recovery cycle, clients are provided with wrap-around services including individual and group counselling, advocacy, accompaniment, referrals, and support to their partners, families and friends.
