Ruthie is an RMFT and RP in Ontario, who has been practicing since 2005. Sessions are available in-person at their office in Guelph, and online across Ontario. Online session are hosted through a Zoom based webcam software, and office sessions can booked in Ruthie’s office (upstairs) or in an accessible room (wide door, navigable hallway and room) on an accessible floor (power door, concrete ramp to building entry, washroom with power door) near designated accessible parking upon request. (They don’t use the accessible rooms when they aren’t requested, as those rooms are shared and others may need them.)

Ruthie primarily practices from Narrative approach and sees individuals, couples, and intimate relationships of all sizes and types. Some clients appreciate knowing that Ruthie is a non-binary trans person (they/them), active in kink communities, pansexual/bisexual, and non-monogamous. Their areas of focus as a therapist, researcher, and educator include sexual well-being and pleasure for diverse bodies and attractions, affirming gender support, and trauma recovery (including: sexual assault survivors, adult survivors of sexual and non-sexual child abuse, medicalized trauma, intimate partner violence, emotional abuse, the impact of surviving/navigating bigotry, and more). They engage in regular continuing education, including receiving anti-oppression training at least annually. Limited sliding scale spots may be available, sessions are reimbursable by some insurance plans, payment is accepted by cash, etransfer, and credit card. This practice cannot provide emergency or crisis services, nor appointments for diagnosis/assessment/legal purposes.
