The 519 Anti-Violence Programme (AVP) provides support to and advocacy for people who have experienced same-sex partner abuse or hate motivated violence or harassment. We work with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual/tranasgendered, queer (LGBTQ) Communities in Toronto to provide education on how to respond to and prevent violence. We work with other service providers to ensure that their services are accessible and appropriate for LGBTQ people. We work with other agencies to develop new services to address service gaps.
