To celebrate this year’s launch of Fondements 2SLGBTQ+ and 2SLGBTQ+ Older Adults and Inclusive Care, both online, self-directed courses will be offered at no cost until November 30.

Fondements 2SLGBTQ+ is the French version of our popular flagship course 2SLGBTQ Foundations. Offering 3.5 Mainpro+ credits, this course is designed to give the same skills and knowledge to French-speaking health care and social service providers as we offer in the English version.

2SLGBTQ+ Older Adults and Inclusive Care is an introduction to providing clinically and culturally competent care to 2SLGBTQ seniors, elders, and older adults. The course is comprised of four modules, is self-paced and generally takes about two hours to complete. Please note that 2SLGBTQ Foundations or Fondements 2SLGBTQ is a required pre-requisite for all RHO courses.

Registration is set to no charge on these courses in our learning management system, so simply register before November 30 to access either or both of these courses for free.

Please note that users are encouraged to complete these courses within 30 days of registration. Access to the courses will end after 60 days if users have not completed the course.

Share Your Feedback – Join our Pilot Course

Rainbow Ontario Health will be hosting the third pilot course for our Sexual and Reproductive Health Education for Providers Across Canada project. Caring for 2SLGBTQ+ Parents-To-Be is a innovative course discussing the complexities of perinatal and pregnancy care for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. In this pilot, health care providers including (but not limited to) doctors, nurses, social workers, midwives, and doulas can learn about the ways they can ensure best practices with their 2SLGBTQ+ patients from two experts and community members Willow Beyer (she/her), and Elgin Pecjak Ph.D(c) (he/him). The pilot includes discussions around inclusive pregnancy language, HIV and pregnancy, pregnancy among AFAB individuals, and unique needs for LBQ cisgender women.

Completion of 2SLGBTQ+ Foundations or Fondements 2SLGBTQ+ is required before attending Caring for 2SLGBTQ+ Parents-To-Be. If you have not completed the prerequisite, contact us for free access to one of the Foundations courses after submitting your application for attending the pilot course.
