New Course: Autism and Gender Identity

On May 27, RHO will hold the first session of Autism and Gender Identity, an intermediate counselling module for health care and social service practitioners with little or no experience working with autistic clients who identify as trans or non-binary. After taking this course, participants will have learned about autism from a neurodivergence framework, as well as how to provide trans-positive health care in the context of interpersonal and systemic discrimination towards autistic people.

New Resource Translated to French

RHO’s newest toolkit, Managing Anti-Trans Harassment for Health Care Providers, has been translated to French. Both the English and French translation offer tips for health care providers to strengthen their resilience in combatting anti-trans harassment due to their commitment to providing gender-affirming care. From emotional considerations to tips for preventing and reducing harm, this resource will support providers in building the skills and confidence needed for continuing their services.
