This resource contains an infographic containing data that was disseminated from a Capstone Research Project conducted under Sheridan College’s Bachelor of Social and Community Development.
Research was conducted through an online, anonymous survey with the aim of understanding how queer women and gender-diverse members among the South Asian community in Ontario perceive (or experience) 2SLGBTQ+ services. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. Ethical considerations included providing all respondents with informed consent and age verification before participation.
Key findings included understanding awareness of services versus actual access of services. Barriers to accessing services were also explored, as well as recommendations that respondents had based on their perceptions and/or experiences with 2SLGBTQ+ services or lack thereof. Using this data, implications for practises were also suggested based on the informed data.
