Crystal Beaudoin provides grief counseling and supportive counseling/consultation to adults 18+, with specialized focus on older adults living with dementia. She supports care partners and offers longer-term therapy for those living with mood disorders or other mental health challenges.
Using a trauma-informed, person-centred and existential/phenomenological approach, Crystal treats therapy as a collaborative process. Her practice centers on serving older adults, particularly through grief and social services support, with many long-term bereavement clients identifying as 2SLGBTQ+. She will soon offer low-cost grief support groups tailored to this community.
Services include:
- Grief and bereavement counseling – anticipatory grief, disenfranchised grief, ambiguous loss, grief resulting from death and other types of loss.
- Supportive counseling for individuals living with dementia
- Counseling, practical support, and advocacy for care partners and family members of individuals living with dementia
- Wellness workshops
- Support groups
- Assistance with the long-term care application process, system navigation, accessing home health care
