Nina Santiago – Authentic Self Counselling

As a queer, neurodivergent, and immigrant therapist, I offer affirming, trauma-informed mental health support for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and partners navigating identity, relationships, life transitions, and emotional well-being. My practice is a safe and validating space where you don’t have to explain or justify your lived experience, your identity is celebrated, not pathologized.

I provide therapy in English and Portuguese, focusing on warmth, directness, and, when helpful, humour. Whether you’re exploring gender, sexuality, polyamory/ENM, coming out, family dynamics, neurodivergence, immigration and acculturation, chronic illness, or healing from trauma, I am here to support you.

Using an integrative approach, I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), DBT, ACT, Polyvagal, and Somatic strategies to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, develop coping tools, and build more fulfilling relationships, with yourself and others.

I believe in the power of community, intersectionality, and holistic healing. Whether you’re seeking practical skills, deep healing, or simply a space to be yourself without judgment, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation. Let’s explore how I can support you on your journey.
