AIDS Committee of Durham Region

ACDR provides accessible, culturally competent, and holistic support services to people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS.  To accomplish this, we reduce barriers to accessing ACDR’s programs and services, and assist clients in navigating public, private and non-profit sector programs and services. Our goal is to engage, empower and build the capacity of people living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) and individuals and families affected by HIV and AIDS by offering services that meet clients where they’re at and respond to self-identified needs.

  • We provide quality care in an environment that is respectful, non-judgmental, welcoming and trusting.
  • We respect your right to confidentiality.
  • We support you in taking responsibility for your own health and well-being and in making informed choices.
  • We provide access to relevant, current, accurate information and resources.
  • We promote harm reduction tools and strategies for managing risk.
