A widely spread fear that LGBT parents have is that once they tell their children that they are gay, lesbian, bisexual or trans they may then share that information with others and become victims themselves of homophobic or transphobic remarks or abuse. The other fear is that their children have already been indoctrinated by homophobia and transphobia in our society and will judge them to the detriment of their parent/child relationship.

This guide was written to offer LGBT parents some tools and some points to reflect upon in support of your coming out process.
