Intimate Partner Violence in LGBTQ Communities

This fact sheet aims to provide an overview of the existing research on intimate partner violence (IPV) in LGBTQ communities, as well as steps that service providers can take to address the needs of LGBTQ survivors of IPV.

Among other things this fact sheet: explains what IPV is and its prevalence in the LGBTQ community, details statistics of IPV occurring between lesbian and bisexual woman and between gay and bisexual men, and between transgender partners, outlines the forms IPV takes in the LGBTQ community and the impact of IPV in the LGBTQ community.
