The Fenway Institute has created a series of learning modules on LGBT health. These modules are electronic slide sets created to help facilitate the teaching of LGBT health topics to clinical students, practicing clinicians, and other health professionals. You can download the modules from this website and use them in your courses, trainings, workshops, or for self-directed learning. They recommend the modules be used as companions to their textbook, the Fenway Guide to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Health, which provides more detailed content on these topics. However, the modules can be used as stand-alone teaching tools as well.
Modules 1 – 3 are available now (PDF format). More modules will be coming soon. In the future they will be supplementing these slide sets with additional tools for adult learners, such as case studies, to enhance learners’ capacity to integrate the material into their practice.
Module 1 – Ending Invisibility: Better Care for LGBT Populations
Module 2 – Knowing Your Patients: Taking a History and Providing Risk Reduction
Module 3 – Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
