Get directionsThe DesignAbility Program uses the ingenuity and spirit of wonderful volunteers to help people living with physical limitations find solutions to everyday challenges. DesignAbility links technically skilled volunteers with people living with physical disabilities to help find solutions that make life easier. Volunteers have created many items including a remote holder that allowed a gentleman with reduced dexterity to change the channels on his TV, and an oven lift that allowed one woman to lift heavy pans from her oven to her countertop. The Thorold DesignAbility Chapter is always open to new project requests and is eager for the opportunity to help increase the independence of Niagara region residents with physical disabilities.
