We are family physicians who work in an academic teaching centre. We share a practice with one another, and we teach family medicine residents. These physician residents are with us for two years, until they start their own practices. We actively see our own patients, as well as supervise residents seeing our patients. Also, Dr. Sorensen (formerly Ludlow) is an instructor with McMaster University in the Department of Family Medicine in Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences.

We offer all aspects of family medicine care, including preventative health care, and diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. We endeavour to create a safe space for all comers, and provide care to LGBTQ families and their children. Further, we are also happy to assist with transitioning for patients using the Sherbourne Trans Health Care Model. We do not purport to be experts in this, but caring physicians who wants to help all our patients with their health care.

As a member of a family health team, our patients also have access to social work counselling, a dietitian, occupational therapy, psychiatry (via physician consult), after hours clinic (via appointment), and a mental health nurse.

Initial appointments are meet and greets, in which you get a chance to learn about the clinic and our booking practices, and we can generate a chart with your medical history. It is NOT a screening of potential patients. Once a meet and greet appointment is given you are accepted as a patient. It is however also not an initial medical appointment, and often people book a follow up appointment for health concerns after the initial meet and greet.
