Are you haunted by negative memories? If you’re part of the LGBTQ2S+ community, these memories may include the “big T” Trauma of being physically assaulted due to your sexual or gender identity or the “little t” trauma of being rejected by your family or friends after coming out. Both “big T” and “little t” experiences can impact your nervous system and result in anxiety, depression, sleep issues, chronic illness, substance misuse, and unhealthy behaviour as well as difficulties in interpersonal relationships and even in daily functioning.

I use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help facillitate the reprocessing of “big T” and “little t” memories. Endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Psychological Association (APA), EMDR is a scientifically supported treatment modality that implements bilateral stimulation – typically horizontal eye movements – to encourage your brain’s natural healing mechanisms. Think of it like physio for your brain!

If you’re curious whether EMDR might be right for you, then book a free meet-and-greet with me. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
