Having the right therapist to talk to and collaborate with on your goals, challenges, and emotional turmoil can help put things into perspective and create a plan for success.

It can be challenging to navigate the world in the face of oppression, disability, stigma, and other barriers to success. Life can be overwhelming at times.

My therapy draws on inner strengths and creative expression to manage complex thoughts and emotions and increase feelings of empowerment. My experience as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and a background in creative arts gives me a unique perspective and toolset to work with. These tools can be especially helpful with young adults, culturally diverse groups, individuals who experience neurodivergence or have experienced trauma, or those who face challenges navigating personal relationships. Our sessions will often involve mindfulness and somatic work like breath work, grounding, or even some movement. During sessions or in-between sessions, you may be encouraged to be reflective or creative using a variety of mediums that fit with your interests and goals as well as implement new skills, resources, and supports.

My approach to therapy focuses on the power of thought and intention, psychoeducation, metaphor, and ritual to build healthy habits and a balanced life. I emphasize meaning-making, the importance of self-efficacy, and perceived control of experiences in the healing process from cognitive, somatic, and social-constructivist perspectives.
