Kerry-Lin McGuire, MSW, RSW, Psychotherapist

I am a queer therapist who is personable, approachable, and flexible. I will work with you to establish your goals for therapy, and help to process the issues that come up for you. My approach is seated in a place of kindness and empathy, and I see myself as your advocate. I sometimes use humour during our sessions to reduce stress, and provide relatable examples so that you can integrate therapeutic skills into your life.

I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. My approach is holistic, in that I consider all aspects of your life in order to bring fresh perspective on the challenges you are facing.

I have varied life experience which enables me to relate to different kinds of people and their life stages and meet them where they are.

I specialize in individuals who are experiencing anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, work stress, life transitions, interpersonal difficulty, and trauma. I welcome folks from the LGBTQIA+ community, racialized folks, and anyone that sees themselves as other.

I am currently offering therapy online, either through video or by telephone, based on your preference. I am available to all Ontario residents. Don’t hesitate to give me a call, or email if you have any questions.

Be well!

*I can provide secondary assessments for transition-related bottom surgeries
