I provide trauma-focused integrative psychodynamic therapy services to adult individuals and couples. My services are queer, trans, kink, and sex worker positive and I aim to provide therapy that is rooted in an understanding of how various systems of oppression and marginalization affect our mental health.
Like most therapists, I have several areas of practice in which I feel distinctly equipped to work. These include recovery from interpersonal trauma and abuse, including childhood sexual abuse, and work with clients who experience symptoms of complex posttraumatic stress and/or borderline personality disorder (BPD).
I bring extensive experience to my work with LGBTTIQQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersex, queer or questioning) people and exploring issues of sexual orientation and gender identity. My practice also includes work with clients who engage in consensual bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, and sadomasochism (BDSM) practices. As a former sexual health educator and sexual assault counsellor, I have experience in supporting people living with HIV/AIDS; coping with diagnoses of sexually transmitted infections (STIs); nurturing diverse relationship models (including open relationships, polyamory, and non-monogamy); and healing from sexual trauma and interpersonal violence.
