My name is Jessica Houghton and I offer individual and group Dance Movement Psychotherapy services in Toronto’s east end. I feel drawn to supporting clients in deepening their relationship with themselves, accessing their body, feelings, emotions, and agency, and integrating parts of themselves that may have been lost or disowned due to past circumstances. I believe in the transformative power of dance and creative movement, and have experienced time and again how embodiment can lead to greater ease in identifying, experiencing, and expressing emotions.

My goal as a therapist is to create a supportive and sensitive space for my clients to engage deeply in their process and find empowerment through developing their resources and creative and expressive capacity. Through my lived experience as a queer woman navigating the complex world of polyamorous relationships, I hope to offer my clients an empathetic, compassionate, and affirming experience, wherever they are in their journey.
