Oliver Healey Counselling & Psychotherapy

As a therapist, I aspire to build a safe, warm, and supportive connection for you to explore and heal from experiences of stress, grief, and trauma. I focus on building trust through authenticity, empathy, and compassion to hold space for how our own unique and personal life circumstances impact how we experience ourselves and the world around us. Informed by principles of harm reduction, our work together will explore the reasons why we might do things the way that we do; asking ourselves whether these ways of being continue to serve us as we grow and change.

I specialize in navigating grief, managing life-altering and/or terminal health issues, disabilities, trauma, gender and transition, and the ups and downs of relationships. My psychotherapeutic approach integrates elements of a number of approaches such as emotions-focused, narrative, self-compassion, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, to name a few. I have specific expertise working with trans, nonbinary, and/or gender nonconforming folks, healthcare professionals, and seniors.

Together, we will cultivate a safe and understanding environment where we can walk together on your path to healing, recovery, and growth.
