Psychotherapy provides the opportunity for people to talk openly and confidentially about their concerns and feelings from the past to the present. Therapy can lead people to a greater understanding of feelings, beliefs, actions. From understanding comes the opportunity to learn and practice new skills, make new choices and develop deeper self acceptance.
My approach is collaborative and thoughtful. I believe in and respect each person’s unique qualities and resources. We work together to identify patterns that need changing, and develop new healthy ways of moving forward. I facilitate clients meeting both short and long-term needs in a safe and caring atmosphere.
I have had in-depth training in a range of psychotherapeutic theories and practices. These include trauma treatment, psychodrama, family therapy, narrative and cognitive behavioral therapy, self psychology, psychodynamic and relational therapy.
