Prismatic Compassion

Hey! My name is Stephanie and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) working with Prismatic Compassion.  I have a therapeutic focus in supporting adolescents and adults navigating identity exploration (gender identity, sexuality, ADHD, autism, etc.), life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and grief. I approach my work with clients in a way that challenges systems-level stigma and oppression through advocacy while supporting individual-level acceptance, self-compassion, and exploration of identities. I believe that each person has their own unique life story built through experiences with others, external influences, and internal meaning-making. I am honoured to be in the position to listen to life stories and help clients write new chapters in their lives.

I believe that no two people are alike and that therapy should be tailored to the goals and experiences of each client. I draw on many modalities to fit the unique needs of all clients. In particular, I use IFS-informed practice, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Somatic-based practice, Mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through these approaches, we can create new meanings, beginnings, and life paths to help you feel in-control and fulfilled.

Above all, I hold a profound belief that all individuals are worthy of safety and acceptance. I am committed to creating a welcoming and secure environment for every client. I achieve this through a therapeutic approach that is person-centered, strengths-based, pro-LGBTQ2S+, pro-diversity, neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and accessible.

I’m looking forward to hearing about your stories and experiences. Feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see if I’d be a good fit!
