Life can be challenging at times; whether you are feeling stuck, are struggling to navigate your day-to-day, you want support on how to improve your life, explore who you are and where you want to go, or navigating and enhancing your relationships. You may need someone to listen without judgement, want support in understanding who you are and how to love yourself, learn new ways of navigating life, or cultivate a path towards fulfilling your goals. Regardless of why you have found yourself seeking support, I am glad you have.

I take an integrative and holistic approach to support individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, burn out, grief, body image, and self-esteem. I offer couples counselling to support couples in enhancing communication, rebuilding trust, and improving their relationship. I specialize in supporting the LGTBQ2S+ community and aim to create a safe space where you can explore and discuss any difficulties you are experiencing and work towards creating a path that honours and aligns with who you are.

I believe in working together as a team throughout the therapeutic journey. I aim to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you and I can work together to understand the path that got you to where you are today, cultivate the awareness of how it has influenced your current situation and gain the skills to cope, make changes and/or work towards improving your life. I strive to create a space where you can explore your fears, dreams, who you are and where you want to go with your life. My approach to supporting you will always be individual and holistic. I aim to work with you to understand your individuality, take into account your culture and worldview and build a treatment plan that aligns with your needs and identity.

I graduated from the University of Guelph, with an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and I am currently in the final stages of completing my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am able to offer you psychotherapy services through my practicum placement at Roots in Wellness, under the supervision of Jennifer Thomson. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Student Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have gained certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Children’s Grief and Bereavement from SickKids Learning Institute.

My journey to psychotherapy came from my own challenges as an adolescent and young adult. Throughout my life, I have sought out support and engaged in self-reflection to gain an understanding of my past and my present and gain the skills to navigate my future. I understand that life can throw curveballs at you and those times can result in feelings of stress, grief, burnout, and sadness. Due to my personal experience with these feelings, I understand the importance of support that is compassionate, empathetic, non-judgemental, and collaborative.

I integrate elements from a variety of therapeutic interventions and theoretical perspectives including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive therapy (MBCT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. Though these are my approaches, I want to get to know you, focus on your individual needs and preferences, and ensure that my approach aligns with you.
