Shoshana Pollack Psychotherapy

I have been working in the counseling field for 22 years. My counseling experience includes working with individuals, groups and couples on a variety of issues including childhood trauma, abuse in intimate relationships, eating issues, self-harm, drug and alcohol use, sexual orientation, relationship issues, loss and grief, self-esteem, anger management, and dealing with oppression. I am a registered clinical social worker (MSW, RSW) and a professor of social work (Ph.D).

I work from an anti-oppression, feminist, and client-centred perspective. This means that:
-I respect the goals, perspectives and pace that you bring to therapy.
-I work to understand you and your experiences in the context of your relationships (past and present) and the society in which we live.
-specific approaches may be drawn from psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive-behavioural, and mindfulness therapies.

I have a bright, comfortable office in the Bloor and Ossington area and have day and evening appointments available. Many insurance companies cover my services.
