OUTline is an anonymous and confidential resource and support service specializing in questions about sexual orientation and gender identity. OUTline serves the University of Guelph and surrounding community, and is funded entirely by students.

OUTline offers support and resources on the web and through the operation of a confidential and anonymous phone line. These support services are staffed by LGBTIQ2 volunteers who complete a rigorous 35-hour training program.

People call for a variety of reasons: they’re looking for local events, resources or referrals, in need of information about a particular topic or often, just interested in connecting to chat. Whatever the reason, we’re hear to listen. Our services are open to anyone, including straight allies who may be looking for information on supporting their LGBTIQQ2 friends, family members and/or co-workers.

Anonymous and Confidential Phone Line: 519-836-4550
Phone Line Hours for March 1 – August 31, 2009:
Tuesdays & Wednesdays 6 pm – 9 pm

OUTline also participates in a number of awareness activities and training sessions throughout the year, actively engaging the University of Guelph and surrounding community in conversations about LGBTIQQ2 issues.

OUTline is always looking for bright and enthusiastic volunteers from on and off campus. Training programs are held three times per year in early January, May and September.

All activities are organized by the OUTline Coordinator and monitored by an Advisory Committee with a majority of students and composed of a variety of campus and community stakeholders.
